Drafts of 8 methodologies (out of total 16 planned under Task 1) were presented at today’s workshop in Trebinje, developed by the experts engaged in the project in consultation with representatives of the beneficiary institutions responsible for water management in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The preparation of RBMPs that follow a harmonized methodology will help BiH institutions in the process of harmonizing legislation in the water sector with the EU acquis. If the country has well-developed RBM plans, in accordance with the European Union Water Framework
Directive, such plans are not only a strategic planning document but also a mechanism that, in accordance with EU water policies, is used for reporting to the EU.
